The Camel mount was first introduced when Suslanger was added to the game. Suslanger is a desert area so it was a logical step that the Camel came to be.
I just find it a missed opportunity that the Camel has no abilities or passive perks to be used in the Desert.
Such as being able to withstand the heat longer when mounted, so you wouldn't have to drink as often.
Bonus speed when in Suslanger would also be great to have. Giving mounts that way unique traits would be great for the mounts themselves.
Instead, now it's just one to collect and catch dust :(
